Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque

Finding Proboscis Monkeys in Brunei
On the return trip from New Zealand, I had another long lay-over in Brunei, so I got back out on the water with one of the local water taxis in Bandar Seri Begawan, and went hunting for the proboscis monkeys that had eluded me on my first visit. Turns out that early evening was a much better time to go looking.

Out on the water at Motuihi island
I went out waterskiing this morning with Mark (driving the boat), Haydn and Lucas. I completely failed to get on top of the water with the skis and wakeboard, but I did manage to get dragged through enough of it to get a lungful, and completely ruin the muscles in my arms that allow me to open and close my fingers. Haydn and Lucas had more luck. Yes, luck.
